Flemingo has initiated plans to roll out 200+ convenience shops in travel retail locations and now announces a new concession.

Last year Flemingo had developed a concept called STARTER which it has been operating in three Polish airports as part of master retail concessions. The company is now extending the retail offer to Juan Santamaria International Airport in Costa Rica.

Flemingo International has been awarded the concession to operate a coffee convenience store at the Juan Santamaria International airport, Costa Rica. The space awarded for the concession is 74 SQ M at the arrivals section and will open in Costa Rica in October 2013 with a contract term of four years.

The operations would carry newspaper & periodicals, travel essentials, personal care, toiletries, hot and cold beverages, snacks, sandwiches and other foods and there would be more focus on “food to go” and will be servicing around 4 million passengers.

The nature of the consumer is “on the move” [ travelers , airport employees and other workers ]who demand quick service, easy readable ticketing and shop layouts , consistent stock availability, speedy service supported by robust backend technology .

This concession is very important to the company with its focus on emerging markets and its vision of 2B.BY 2020, two billion turn over by 2020.
