Colmbo, Sri Lanka : “SPIRITED” by Flemingo International, Flemingo’s duty paid distribution brand was launched in Colombo in a well attended media conference on and was attended by over 80 people from about 40 media houses.
With Sri Lanka embracing new development projects, new infrastructure and other elements that contribute to the growth of tourism, the figures are expected to grow considerably by the year 2016. Opening of Flemingo Duty Free Store last year at the Bandaranaike International Airport is a testament of the group’s commitment to assist and partner the country’s growth. With this venture, Flemingo takes a step further to strengthen their presence in the region.
‘Spirited’ armed with a portfolio of some of the best wine and spirit brands in the world, will cater to hotels, guesthouses, sports clubs and restaurants, leading supermarkets, retail wine shops, corporates, diplomatic missions, ship chandlers, events and weddings, etc. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kumar discussed the brand’s plans to bring principals from various wine producing countries to drive product knowledge and service programs in the coming months. The spirited venture will be driven by a team of professionals from the Industry with local knowledge and experience and new expertise from similar emerging markets.
Mr. Paul Topping unveiled the new logo and the repositioning of the brand and detailed the company’s plan for the future. With its’ positioning as ‘The Duty Free People’, Flemingo hopes to deliver the highest value for partners, customers and key stakeholders.
The media conference ended on a high note with the giving away of the Ritz car, mega prize for VISA T20 promotion to the lucky winner Mr. Janaka Girdharimal.
