Baltona, subsidiary of Flemingo International has commenced its master concession operation at Poznan airport which is in the western part of the country
In May this year Baltona had entered into an agreement of master concession with Poznan airport for the departure area. The space awarded for the contract is 1900 SQ M and includes duty free shops, coffee shops, restaurants and a new POLAND ZOOM outlet giving a sense of place selling souvenir/ books / newspaper.
The company started its operations in the month of July with a duty free outlet and is spread over an area of 498 SQ M housing core categories with wide range of Polish and international brands, regional and local products as well as children’s section. The company also extended its offer further with F&B brand Coffee Corner (200 SQ M) which sells beverages, freshly made sandwiches, cakes and pastries. For the benefit of the passenger, coffee shop also includes Wi-Fi facilities, charging stations for mobiles, laptops, etc.
This was followed by the launch of two more formats duty free boutique and Poland Zoom in the month of August. Whilst the Boutique, operating in a space of 150 SQ M carries watches, jewelry, sun glasses, bags, handbags, luggage and accessories, Poland Zoom features local and regional products , souvenirs, travel accessories, books, newspapers , snacks and drinks. Zoom combines the store offer of a convenience shop and gift shop.
Further to this, plans are underway to launch Travel Chef restaurant (340 SQM)in the Schengen area in the coming months as well as a duty free outlet and a coffee express (“2 go” format) as a last minute shop in the Non-Schengen area after the refurbishment of the older wing of the departure hall.
