Baltona has successfully upgraded and extended its LVIV airport store in the Ukraine and opened its doors on the 25th of May. The operation was originally launched in May 2012 during the UEFA Euro cup and has now been upgraded. This is exclusive to Baltona and the store is a walk through operation spread over 500 sq m servicing app 600,000 passengers.
Baltona has created a world class duty free shopping experience and is part of the complex offer of the airport expansion project that includes a new terminal with total area of 34,000m² and capable of handling up to 1,220 passengers per hour (10.693 million passengers annually).
The new store has duty free exclusivity and sells an extensive range of products categories, from imported and local liquor to a wide selection of cosmetics, perfume, tobacco, accessories, watches and timeless jewellery.
Lviv International Airport has direct connection with the cities all over the world such as Munich, Dortmund, Vienna, Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Moscow, Surgut, Naples, Venice and Milan, Prague, Hurghada, Istanbul, Kyiv and many others.
Baltona has been part of the Flemingo group since 2010 and listed on Warsaw exchange since 2011.
This store forms part of the expansion plans in the regions which also includes, the group securing the master retail rights in Poznan earlier and refurbishing its Montpellier unit.
